Public Notice: Cherry Creek Trailway Phase 1 Notice of Intent

GOSHEN, Ind. — The City of Goshen will submit a Notice of Intent to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management for stormwater discharge approval for the Cherry Creek Trailway Phase 1 project.

This notice meets requirements of the Indiana Construction Stormwater General Permit.

Cherry Creek Trailway project area

The Cherry Creek Trailway Phase 1 project extends along Waterford Mills Parkway from Regent Street to just west of Dierdorff Road. It also extends from Regent Street along Cherry Creek Lane to Fairways Drive and Pheasant Cove in Elkhart Township, Elkhart County.

Stormwater runoff will flow into adjacent roadside swales and the public storm sewer. The storm sewer carries runoff to the Cherry Creek stormwater basins, where it will soak into the soil before eventual release to the Elkhart River to the west.
