Notice of Public Hearing: Proposed Ordinance Concerning the Goshen Downtown Economic Improvement District

The Goshen Common Council will conduct a public hearing on a proposed ordinance concerning the Goshen Downtown Economic Improvement District.

The public hearing will be held during the Common Council’s regular meeting on July 27, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the City Court Room/Council Chambers at the Goshen Police & Court Building, 111 E. Jefferson St., Goshen.

All owners of real estate within the Goshen Downtown Economic Improvement District, as well as other interested persons, are invited to attend and will have an opportunity to be heard on the proposed ordinance to further amend Ordinance 3760, which established the Goshen Downtown Economic Improvement District.

The proposed ordinance will:

  1. Extend the term during which the annual economic improvement assessment is levied through Dec. 31, 2036.
  2. Remove the current exemption from the economic improvement assessment for the residential real estate at 318 S. Main St. and 320 S. Main St., effective Jan. 1, 2027.
