Residents who observe open burning within Goshen city limits should first contact the 911 Dispatch Center non-emergency line at 574-533-4151. Calling dispatch allows officers to respond while the fire is still active and determine whether it complies with city regulations.

Complaints submitted through the online form are sent by email and often arrive after the fire has already burned out, which limits the City’s ability to investigate or take action. If the fire is happening now, please call the non-emergency number so a timely response is possible. This form remains available for reporting ongoing or recurring concerns.
