About this meeting — Goshen Fire Department; Fire Prevention Week Education with Goshen Community Schools

National Fire Prevention Week in Goshen brings firefighters and educators together to deliver hands-on safety education for local students. Working in partnership with Goshen Community Schools, the Fire Department engages first-grade students through an interactive puppet show, followed by tours of fire trucks and ambulances.

Every on-duty crew member participates, giving students direct contact with firefighters and emergency equipment. Firefighters also visit third-grade classrooms to reinforce home fire exit planning, a core safety lesson repeated each year.

Through these efforts, the department connects with nearly 800 Goshen students, reinforcing fire safety awareness at an early age.
