GOSHEN, Ind. (Thursday, June 17, 2026) — A Goshen boil water advisory has been issued for customers on the city’s east side following a water main break near U.S. 33 East and Plymouth Avenue.

To complete repairs, crews will shut off a water main valve beginning at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 17. The boil water advisory will take effect when water service is restored. The advisory affects properties from 900 to 1350 Lincolnway East, including Park Thirty-Three Apartments, between Plymouth Avenue and Fairfield Avenue.

Goshen Boil Water Advisory details

The City issues boil water advisories whenever water service is interrupted or water pressure is reduced during repairs. According to Goshen Water and Sewer officials, the advisory is a precautionary measure designed to protect public health while crews restore service and verify water quality.

Residents in the affected area should bring all water used for drinking and cooking to a rolling boil for at least five minutes before use. Customers should continue boiling water until the City notifies them that the advisory has been lifted.

Water remains safe for showering and flushing toilets during the advisory.

After repairs are complete, Goshen Water and Sewer will conduct water quality testing. Two sets of samples must be collected and tested 24 hours apart. The advisory will be lifted after both sets of samples confirm that the water meets safety standards.

The City encourages motorists to avoid the area near U.S. 33 East and Plymouth Avenue while repair crews work.
