Chief of Police – Police Department

The City of Goshen seeks applicants for the Chief of Police position. We are looking for a steady, forward-thinking leader who will guide and support our officers as they serve the community with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. The Chief plays a central role on the City’s leadership team, aligning public safety efforts with community needs and long-term priorities.

The ideal candidate strengthens department culture, encourages innovation, and builds strong partnerships across City departments and emergency response teams. The Chief also serves as a strong advocate for local policing and public safety, working with City leadership to engage state and federal partners on issues that affect municipal law enforcement. GIS Coordinator – Innovation and Technology Department

Join the City’s Innovation and Technology team as our GIS Coordinator! You will transform spatial data into actionable insights, manage the ESRI Enterprise GIS platform, and empower departments to work smarter. You will develop and maintain GIS workflows, deploy web mapping tools, and integrate geospatial data across city systems. First Deputy – Clerk-Treasurer’s Office

The City is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented First Deputy to support the Clerk-Treasurer in managing all aspects of the City’s financial operations. This critical role oversees financial processes for Civil City departments and serves as a budget liaison between those departments and the Mayor. Responsibilities include supervising accounting staff, maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with Indiana State Board of Accounts regulations, managing budget estimates, overseeing payroll, and ensuring timely reporting and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel and financial software such as Incode and ADP, with a strong understanding of local, state, and federal compliance.

Probationary Patrol Officer – Goshen Police Department

The responsibilities for this position encompass various essential duties, including patrolling for suspicious activities, conducting traffic enforcement, investigating crimes, and maintaining community visibility. Officers are tasked with protecting life and property, collecting evidence, and fostering connections within the community through education and referrals to appropriate services. They also engage in clerical tasks, assist colleagues as needed, and fulfill other related duties as required. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those with an associate or bachelor’s degree, alongside specific age, citizenship, and residency criteria, while physical and mental abilities must align with the demands of police work in various environments.
