Neighborhood Highlights
- Goshen’s Historic Southside Neighborhood is bordered by Madison Street to the north, Plymouth Avenue to the south, 9th Street to the east, and Main Street to the west.
- Approximately 450 residences are located within this neighborhood.
- The Goshen Historic Southside Neighborhood Association was formed in 2003 to enhance the neighborhood’s livability and historic assets.
- Events: Annual picnic in August on the 500 block of South 7th Street; Holiday Wander in December is a walking tour of neighborhood lights; Christmas Luminaries.
Neighborhood Association Meetings
- Board meetings vary – 2nd Monday of each month from March to December. Meetings occur at the commonplace at 5:30 pm or from 7-8 pm via Zoom.
- Board members chosen by recommendation; no elections; recruited for 2-year terms.
- Communication to the neighborhood via the public Facebook Group, committees, email, and personal conversations.
